Coronavirus By the Numbers: Confirmed Cases Approaching 100,000

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The Texas Department of Health Services Thursday reported 1,576,925 total tests administered for coronavirus in Texas. 

Following Thursday's update from the Texas Department of Health Services, the number of confirmed cases has risen to 99,851 with the current fatality toll up to 2,105 and 63,812 patients who have recovered statewide.

Over 1,407,741 of the positive cases have been confirmed using viral tests, while the 152,796 have been confirmed using antibody tests.

Out of the 254 counties in Texas, 237 are currently reporting current positive coronavirus cases. 

The three counties with the highest case counts are Harris County (18,157), Dallas County (15,256), and Tarrant County (7,822).

The top three counties with coronavirus related deaths are Dallas County (302), Harris County (298), Tarrant County (199).
