Crane Facility Plagued By COVID-19 Cases

 

CRANE, TX — COVID-19 continues to plague the Focused Care at Crane facility as the county’s 28 cases are all associated with one facility.

According to The Odessa American, as of Tuesday, a total of 15 residents and 13 staff members have tested positive for coronavirus since testing began.

According to the facility, all staff is quarantined out of the building and, "The 15 positive residents are receiving care in isolation on-site at Focused Care at Crane. Two are moving out of isolation today and another is moving off of isolation tomorrow.  They have to be asymptomatic for three days before moving back to their regular routines.”

Five residents who receive dialysis have been placed in quarantine for 14 days because they leave the facility to receive dialysis.

Earlier this month the center had reported its fifth death associated with coronavirus and the county has confirmed 18 recoveries.
