Coronavirus by the Numbers: Wednesday's Daily Map Shows Recoveries Surpass 30,000

SAN ANGELO, TX – As previously reported on Thursday, May 21,  the Texas Department of Health Services reported 48,693 confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus in Texas. 

Following Wednesday's update from the Texas Department of Health Services, the number of confirmed cases rose to 51,323  with the current fatality toll up to 1,419 and 30,341 patients who have recovered statewide. Current hospitalizations are sitting at 1,680.

Out of the 254 counties in Texas there are currently 225 that are reporting confirmed cases of Coronavirus.

 

Daily testing results are as followed: 

  • 744,912 - Total Tests Administered
  • 29,359 - Public Lab Tests
  • 721, 336 - Private Lab Tests
