Coronavirus by the Numbers: Daily Map Shows Recoveries Surpass 20,000

SAN ANGELO, TX – As previously reported on Friday, the Texas Department of Health Services reported 36,609 confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus in Texas. 

Following Monday's update from the Texas Department of Health Services, the number of confirmed cases rose to 38,869  with the current fatality toll up to 1,088 and 21,022 patients who have recovered statewide. Lab confirmed patients currently hospitalized decreased from 1,734 on Friday to 1,525 on Monday. Recoveries increased by 1,825 from the 19,197 reported on Friday to the 21,022 reported on Monday.

Out of the 254 counties in Texas there are currently 219 that are reporting confirmed cases of Coronavirus.

Daily testing results are as followed: 

• 513,978 - Total Tests Administered
• 17,086 - Public Lab Tests
• 496,892 - Private Lab Tests
