Gov. Abbott: Beauty Salons Can Open Friday

AUSTIN, TX – Texas Governor Greg Abbott Tuesday announced beauty salons, barber shops and other cosmetic facilities may open on Friday, May 8.

Abbott said in a press conference Tuesday afternoon that social distancing must be practiced, only one customer per stylist, and both the operators and customers must wear masks.

Abbott recommended operators use an appointment system to ensure only one customer arrives at a time.
