MIDLAND, TX – The Midland Health Department has confirmed residents and staff at Midland Medical Lodge tested positive for coronavirus.
According to CBS7, two residents, a woman in her 70s and a woman in her 80s tested positive and were transferred to Midland Memorial Hospital. A part-time nurse in her 30s also tested positive for COVID-19. Her last day of work was March 29.
Four previously confirmed cases in the county were administrative employees employed at Midland Medical Lodge.
Residents at Midland Medical Lodge are being screened every four hours and all symptomatic residents will be tested. The lodge center has also created a wing to house all residents who exhibit symptoms.
Staff members that tested positive for COVID-19 are self-quarantining at home and will only be allowed to work once they are released by the health department.

The City of Midland confirmed Thursday that two more cases have been confirmed at Midland Medical Lodge. They also confirmed that a separate retirement home, Manor Park, also has one case.
The three patients are all older than 70.
