Coronavirus: Ector County Confirms First Positive Test

 

ODESSA, TX – Ector County has confirmed its first case of COVID-19 on Friday afternoon. Judge Debi Hays stated the county was “still gathering information as to "where the person has been, their name, where they worked, and where they were tested.”

According to CBS7, testing numbers for Ector County have been relatively low compared with those of surrounding counties. It is unclear as of this moment if the patient was tested by the county or at a private lab.
