Area Hospital to Screen Visitors to Prevent Spread of Coronavirus

 

ODESSA, TX – In an effort to prevent the possibility of the COVID-19 virus spreading in their facilities, Medical Center Hospital is taken precautionary measures to protect their patients.

According to CBS7, beginning Wednesday, March 11 all visitors will be directed to use specific entrances. According to a press release provided by the hospital, these measures will help staff screen those who enter the hospital.

Visitors should only enter through the following areas during these specific times:

  • Main Entrance (6:00 A.M. – 8:00 P.M.)
  • Admitting Entrance (5:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.)
  • Emergency Department (24 Hours).
  • Center For Women And Infants (24 Hours)

In their press release, the hospital stated that by implementing these measures they are following “proper infection prevention protocols and guidance from the CDC.”
