Texans Rejoice! Whataburger’s A.1. Thick & Hearty Burger is Back

SAN ANTONIO, TX -- Whataburger brought back the highly popular A.1. Thick & Hearty Burger on Oct.1.  

According to the San Antonio based restaurant chain’s website, “You asked. We heard you. Two 100% beef patties topped with crispy bacon, grilled onions, melted cheese and that mouth-watering A.1.® Thick & Hearty Sauce. For a limited time only.”

The A.1. Thick & Hearty Burger first appeared on the menu in 1998 but was removed in 2009.  

Since then, it has been brought back occasionally.  At one point there was a petition to restore the burger to the menu.  

According to the website, the burger weighs 361 grams and has 990 calories.  Enjoy!
