Bridge to Recovery invites the community to join for a night of interactive education focused on Holiday Mental Health, said a press release Tuesday. The event will be held in the Stephens Central Library Community Room, 33 West Beauregard, on Nov. 19 at 6:30 p.m.
Bridge to Recovery, which is the Concho Valley's Recovery Oriented System of Care (ROSC), is working to create a community where people in recovery have the resources to meet their individual needs. Activities planned for Thursday night's event include a healthy cooking demonstration with TAMU Agrilife Extension, yoga and meditation practices with Camille Martinez, and mental health and relapse strategies with peers from MHMR and ADACCV.
According to the press release, many of Bridge to Recovery's member agencies will be available to answer questions and provide information on services. These agencies include: Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council for the Concho Valley (ADACCV), the Concho-Valley Rape Crisis Center, the San Angelo Dream Center, MHMR-Concho Valley, Concho Valley Community Supervision and Corrections Department, Workforce Solutions of the Concho Valley, DFPS, Texas Workforce Commission, Children’s Advocacy Center, Esperanza Health and Dental Clinic, DPS Victims Advocacy, Concho Valley Turning Point, and United Way of the Concho Valley.
