The San Angelo-Tom Green County Health Department will offer immunization clinics on Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 17-18, for families with students who are uninsured or covered by Medicaid.
The Health Department, located in Suite 8 at 2030 Pulliam St., will administer vaccines from 8 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and from 1 p.m.-4:30 p.m. each day. Walk-ins are welcome and no appointments are needed.
Only children who are uninsured or on Medicaid may receive immunizations during the clinics. Students covered by Medicaid must have a current Medicaid card at the time of their visit. All children must also bring updated shot records to the clinic; there are no exceptions to this requirement.
The cost is $22 per child per visit. Adults can also receive immunizations at a cost of $22 per shot. Payments must be made with cash or local checks. Debit and credit cards are not accepted.
The Health Department hosts an immunization clinic each Tuesday, but is also offering the service on Monday, Aug. 17, for students needing vaccinations before the start of school. Classes begin Aug. 24 in the San Angelo Independent School District.
