HOLLYWOOD — The film being shot during the 2026 San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo has dropped its first trailer.
During the San Angelo rodeo in April, fans of the Yellowstone spinoff 1923 were given a surprise when Brandon Sklenar, the actor who plays Spencer Dutton, took a fall on the dirt during a break in the rodeo action.
Now fans can see their first glimpse into that film, and it may not be what a lot of people were expecting. Below is Sklenar filming The Rescue.
The Rescue is a western thriller in which Sklenar plays Jaime Lee, a former rodeo cowboy and a father whose daughter is taken and held for ransom. The Rescue’s synopsis reads:
“A former rodeo cowboy takes matters into his own hands when his daughter is kidnapped for ransom. With her devoted dog by his side, he sets out to bring her home and will stop at nothing to find her.”
Fans of Yellowstone and the spinoff shows will recognize a lot of the actors in this film starting with Hassie Harrison, who played Laramie in Yellowstone and plays Kaley Tucker in The Rescue. In real life, Harrison is actually married to Ryan Bingham, another Yellowstone alum.
