To Catch a Predator Movie Drops First Trailer for Possible Fall Release

HOLLYWOOD — The first trailer for the new A24 film about “To Catch a Predator” has been released.

Primetime, which is expected to release in theaters this fall, is about the history of “To Catch a Predator” and stars Robert Pattinson as Chris Hanson. The movie portrays Hanson’s rise to fame and him becoming an influential face on television.

Pattinson somehow found time between filming Dune Part 3, The Odyssey and now The Batman Part 2, to continue his work with lesser-known filmmakers.

The rest of the cast includes Skylar Gisondo (Vacation, Superman), Merritt Wever (Marriage Story, Birdman or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), Matthew Maher (Gone Baby Gone, Air) Anna Faris (Scary Movie, Brokeback Mountain), Sean Bridgers (Room, Midnight Special), and singer/songwriter Phoebe Bridgers.

Lance Oppenheim directs Primetime as his first feature film.

An exact release date has not been confirmed but Primetime is looking at September 2026 for release.
