The concert will take place in the Carr EFA Building's Eldon Black Recital Hall and is free and open to the public. It will showcase the talents of ASU music/percussion students through a dynamic performance of innovative and powerful music.
The musical program will feature an eclectic selection of works, highlighting the broad range of textures and styles within the percussion repertoire:
- "Living Room Music" by John Cage

- "March for Two Pairs of Kettledrums" by Andre & Jacques Philidor
- "Losa" by Emmanuel Sejourne
"This concert highlights the versatility of percussion, from John Cage's experimental sounds to the rhythmic intensity of Emmanuel Sejourne," said Dr. Trent Shuey, ASU assistant director of bands. "Our students have worked incredibly hard to bring these works to life, and we're excited to share this unique program with the community."
Directed by Shuey, the ASU Percussion Ensemble is dedicated to exploring the vast array of percussive music, spanning traditional and contemporary styles. The ensemble performs regularly on campus and in the community, providing students with a platform to develop their skills and share their passion for music with a wide audience.
