Hollywood Star Damian Chapa Visits San Angelo for Exclusive Fan Meet-and-Greet

SAN ANGELO, TX — Acclaimed actor and director Damian Chapa, best known for his iconic role as Miklo Velka in Blood In, Blood Out, is making a special stop at the Arc Light Sports Bar & Grill, located inside the Clarion Hotel at 441 Rio Concho Drive. Fans have the chance to meet the Hollywood star, grab an autograph, and hear stories from his illustrious career until 6 p.m. today.

Born on October 29, 1963, in Dayton, Ohio, Chapa’s career skyrocketed after his breakout role in Blood In, Blood Out, which became the highest-grossing Latin film in history. With roles in box office hits like Under Siege (1992), Street Fighter (1994), and Money Talks (1997), Chapa's films have grossed over $250 million worldwide.

A man of diverse heritage, Chapa is of Mexican, Italian, Irish, and Native American descent. He grew up as the second eldest of five children and overcame a challenging childhood marked by personal struggles. His path to stardom began in New York, where he worked as a stand-in for Madonna’s “Papa Don’t Preach” music video before landing major roles.

Chapa is also a talented filmmaker, having directed films featuring stars like Stacy Keach, Faye Dunaway, and Danny Trejo. His film Brando Unauthorized earned him Best Director and Best Feature awards at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival.
