Iconic Actor James Earl Jones has Died

 

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY— Legendary actor and iconic voice of Darth Vader, James Earl Jones, has passed away at 93.

James Earl Jones, 93, has died at his home in Dutchess County, New York. Jones was known for his iconic voice which ended up with him voicing one of the most well-known movie villains in Darth Vader in Star Wars.

Jones stared in several big movies besides Star Wars like Field of Dreams, The Sandlot, Conan the Barbarian, Coming to America, The Hunt for Red October, and The Lion King where he voice Mufasa. He was also on Broadway and played in Fences, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and Driving Miss Daisy among others.

Jones was also an EGOT winner, which means he won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and a Tony award, someone only 21 individuals have accomplished.

Also, Jones served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
