CHRISTOVAL, TX — Country music legend Deana Carter will be performing at Cooper's Bar-B-Q in Christoval on Friday, Aug. 23.
Cooper's, a music venue and restaurant located about 20 miles south of San Angelo, made the announcement Sunday.
Carter is best known for her debut single, "Strawberry Wine", which reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard charts in 1995 and immediately vaulted her to stardom.
She later had No. 1 hits with "We Danced Anyway" and "How Do I Get There".
Her album, "Did I Shave My Legs for This?", debuted at No. 2 on the U.S. Top Country Albums chart and sold over 5 million copies.
Tickets for Carter's concert in Christoval will go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 23.
