Some of the finest men I know are Masons. To put it another way, all the Masons I've ever met are are good men.

That includes my father and the man that took him in when Dad lost support from his family.  My father looked at this man and what he did for him, and said, "If that man is a Mason then I want to be one too."  And so it came to pass.

Peace, CGM5.  I think we can agree on this issue.

I come from an extremely large Irish family (30 something first cousins). Many of those are Masons as were their fathers, my father and brother. Without ever laying eyes on your Dad, I'm positive he was a good man.

Never had a problem with folks who draw their Force abilities from the aperion. Just spare my family. That's all I ask.

There is a very common misconception that the Masonic Order is some sort of religion. That couldn't be farther from the truth.

Not challenging the sacred doctrines of the order, just pleading with that order to please spare innocent lives.

Thanks

Rita, I am a Master Mason. There are things I will speak of and things I won't. I've heard of the Masons fighting against tyranny, dictators and other evils throughout history. I have never not one time heard of any reason innocents should fear the Masons. It's my understanding that Hitler hated the Masons and had a shoot on sight order for all Masons. That in itself should speak volumes.

Rita is not unintelligent.  He is, however, at times redolent of mental feces.

I congratulate you regarding your place in the Masonic world.  My father, whom I spoke of before, held a high place back in the day as well.  I wish you could have known him.  I suspect you and he would have gotten along quite nicely.

I understand that the Masons jealously wield powers the likes of which the plucky Nazis could never have hoped to wrest from your hands. I offer my apologies to the order and its members. Please do not harm me.

As Grand Poopah of the local chapter of the Beneficent Order of Meandering Mooses and Flatulent Foxes, I hereby declare you are safe from the likes of us.  Please note:  I cannot speak for the Masons.  With them you are on your own and you deserve whatever you get.

Footnote:  CGM5 and his Masonic brethren are in no way responsible for this bit of twisted piece of silly whimsy of mine.

Please, I know that your order will be neither hindered by the law nor popular morality, and that you wield power that even popes cannot stop! I beg your mercy!

The diaspora of Europe and the former subjects of their empires are but your cattle, and this Earth is the plantation you maintain! Woe to humankind! Woe!

If the Masonic Order represents some form of religion, a notion I dismiss out of hand, it did not prevent my parents from their being staunch Southern Baptists who lived their faith in every day of their lives.  They were people who did not loudly proclaim to others, "Look what good Christians we are!".  People could see it simply through the way they lived.

I am incredibly proud of being their son, and simply wish I represent them better.  Every time I visit San Angelo I visit their resting place.  I talk to them, and I know they listen just as they always did when I was a fuzz-nuts kid belaboring them with my petty growing-up issues.  Dear Sweet Heaven, but they were patient.

Not a day goes by that I do not thank God for them.
