HOLLYWOOD— The new Twisters movie has released another trailer.
The reboot of the 90’s natural disaster movie has dropped another trailer. The official “Twisters” synopsis reads:
"Haunted by a devastating encounter with a tornado, Kate Cooper gets lured back to the open plains by her friend, Javi, to test a groundbreaking new tracking system. She soon crosses paths with Tyler Owns, a charming but reckless social-media superstar who thrives on posting his storm-chasing adventures. As storm season intensifies, Kate, Tyler, and their competing teams find themselves in a fight for their lives as multiple systems converge over central Oklahoma."
Twisters has a stacked cast and is directed by Lee Isaac Chung, who directed the Oscar winning Minari, and an episode of The Mandalorian.
The cast includes:
- Daisy Edgar-Jones (Fresh, Where the Crawdads Sing) as Kate Cooper
- Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick, Anyone But You) as Tyler Owens
- Anthony Ramos (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, In the Heights) as Javi
The film also features Brandon Perea (Nope), Kiernan Shipka (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), David Corenswet (Superman), and Maura Tierney (The Iron Claw).
Twisters is set to storm into theaters on July 19, 2024.
