SAN ANGELO, TX — This May 4th, San Angelo residents and visitors will have various events to choose from as the city celebrates “May the 4th Be With You," Star Wars Day.
The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts will host a “Clay & Play Movie Event,” while the San Angelo Clubhouse will run its 0.5K race. The Parrots Head Tavern will have a party, and a comedy show will follow to cap off the day.
Starting at noon on Saturday, May 4, the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts invites attendees to the Martial Pint Event Room at 19 E. Concho Ave for a clay molding session and movie event.
Participants from age eight upwards are welcome to create their own moon-themed cups and mugs during the two-and-a-half-hour event, which costs $25 per ticket.
The Martial Pint will also have May the 4th be with You! Star Wars Trivia will be free to play.
This event will offer a costume contest and trivia from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The San Angelo Clubhouse will host its 5th Annual 0.5K on the same day. The event encourages teams to participate and offers awards for the best costume and t-shirt design.
With an entry fee of $25, the event will be a fun, low-exertion experience suitable for all. It will conclude with every participant crossing the finish line at the San Angelo Clubhouse.

Registration starts at 9 a.m., and the race begins at 10 a.m.
The Parrots Head Tavern, 2319 West Avenue N, is having a May 4th party. According to a flyer, Luis Gaudarrama and Steven G will make special appearances.
The party will feature a costume contest, with winners receiving Star Wars memorabilia. The flyer also states that there will be $3 Bantha milk shots and $4 Yoda sodas. DJ Owtasyt will provide music. There will also be $15 May the 4th T-shirts.
The day will conclude with a comedy show starting at 8 p.m., featuring comedians Chris Crawford, Greg Duran, Johnny Vannier, Cooper Compton, and Adrienne Green. Scott Sustek will host the show.
This will happen at the Sustek Studio, 30 West Concho Dr. Tickets are $15.
