HOLLYWOOD— The Merc with a Mouth returns to the big screen and brings Weapon X out of retirement in the second trailer for “Deadpool & Wolverine”.
When Disney obtained 20th Century Fox, many people were wondering if they would ever release a third Deadpool movie. Due to the character and the graphic nature of the first two movies, everyone thought Disney wouldn’t touch it.
Now, a second trailer has been released for the Ryan Reynolds led flick and he also got Hugh Jackson, who has played Wolverine for 23 years, to pick up the claws one more time.
(Warning, this trailer contains naughty language and images.)
It looks like another multiverse movie as many past characters from different movies and tv shows appear. The new characters include:
Cassandra Nova, who is Charles Xavier, or Professor X’s twin sister in the comics. She’s played by Emma Corrin, who played Princess Diana in “The Crown”. Also new to the cast is Matthew Macfadyen, who is playing Paradox, a TVA, or Time Variance Authority, agent.
One actor is reprising his role as Pyro, who was last seen in X-Men: The Last Stand and Aaron Stanford returns. In the trailer above, Lady Deathstrike, Toad, and Azazel are seen outside Nova’s lair.
Rob Liefeld, the creator of Deadpool, said this on X, formally known as Twitter.
