UPDATED: Easter Egg Hunts in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX — We have compiled as much information as we could find regarding Easter egg hunts in town.

On Saturday, March 30, the third annual Easter Egg hunt organized by Downtown San Angelo at Old Central Firehouse will occur.

Set against the backdrop of the Firefighter's Memorial City Park, located behind the pizzeria, this hunt will have over 3,000 eggs "hidden" with the assistance of local first responders.

The hunt begins at 10:30 a.m. at 200 S. Magdalen St. and is complemented by a "Spring Market" featuring local vendors, a coffee truck, and food trucks. This event is free of charge.

Angelo State University's Honors Student Association has made plans for an egg hunt on the same day, with sessions at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Separate areas will be provided for different age groups: 3 and under, 4-7, and 8-12.

The hunts will take place in the grass between the Carr Education-Fine Arts Building and the Academic Building.

The event is free and offers food, crafts, games, and a special appearance by the Easter Bunny.

Attendees are encouraged to park at the Porter Henderson Library lot on Johnson Street or the A parking lot on Dena Drive and are invited to contribute gently used or new children/young adult books for the “Little Free Library.”

To add to the Easter festivities, Sports Next Level on 2838 College Hills Blvd is hosting its fourth annual Easter Egg Hunt. They promise over 9,000 eggs.

The event, free to the public, caters to children 10 and under and features an Easter Bunny photo op, face painting starting at 11 a.m., and hunts for various age groups starting at noon.

The “Sunset Mall Eggstravaganza” at Sunset Mall, 4001 Sunset Dr, will have over 10,000 eggs spread throughout the mall. The starting point is the North Main entrance off of Sunset Dr.

The mall-wide egg hunt kicks off at 10:30 a.m. Face painting and "spring crafts" are also on the agenda for the mall's Easter celebration.

Easter in Knickerbocker will take place on Saturday, March 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event flyer shows that the egg hunt will take place at 11:10 a.m. Following that from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. is "Alice and Easter Bunny."
