Brews, Ewes, & BBQ Returns For Annual Cook-Off

SAN ANGELO, TX - The sizzling excitement of barbeque, the thrill of competition, and the joy of family-friendly festivities are back.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 2, 2024, as Downtown San Angelo hosts the 8th Annual Brews, Ewes, & BBQ Festival at 325 S Oakes St. along the Concho River.

The heart of the event is the BBQ Cook-Off, featuring categories such as brisket, pork ribs, chicken, and the World Championship Lamb Cook-off.

Additionally, the festival presents a Kids-Que cooking competition for children aged 6-18. Registration is open for teams or individuals willing to showcase their culinary prowess. The event kicks off at 11 a.m., and all ages are welcome.

Event Highlights:

• Location: 325 S Oakes St., San Angelo, TX 76903
• Date & Time: March 2, 2024, 11 a.m.
• Registration Fees: $225.00 for BBQ Cook-Off, additional +$50 for Beans Competition, $25 for Kids-Que competition.
• Prizes: 1st-3rd place winners in each category receive a vacuum sealer.

• Day 1 - Friday, March 1, 2024:
  • 9 a.m.: Registration Opens
  • All Day: Site available for setup. Cooking may begin
• Day 2 - Saturday, March 2, 2024:
  • 9 a.m.: Vendor Set up
  • 11 a.m.: Event Opens to the Public
  • 11 a.m.: Beans Turn In
  • 12:00 p.m.: 2 Chicken Halves Turn In
  • 1:30 p.m.: Pork Spare Ribs Turn In
  • 3 p.m.: Brisket Turn In
  • 3 p.m.: Kid's Que Registration
  • 4 p.m.: Lamb Turn In
  • 4 p.m.: Kid's Que Competition begins
  • 4:30 p.m.: Kid's Que Competition Turn In
