SAN ANGELO, TX - San Angelo LIVE recently explored the Concho Christmas Celebration's 30th Annual Tour of Lights.
The light tour treats visitors to a 2.5-mile driving tour along the banks of the Concho River adorned with three million lights.
The Tour of Lights kicked off with a soft opening on Friday, Dec. 1, and will continue until Sunday, Dec. 31.
Located at 598 W. 1st Street, spectators can enter at Bryant Blvd. and 1st Street, just north of the main Post Office.
The Tour of Lights welcomes guests from 6 to 10 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday while extending until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
To support the continued success of this beloved holiday tradition, organizers suggest a voluntary donation of $8 per car.
A visual feast awaits attendees as they embark on the journey through animated scenes featuring The Twelve Days of Christmas, a whimsical Toy Factory, a Gingerbread House, an elaborate nativity scene, prancing reindeer, the National Patriotism Flag, and, of course, the iconic figure of Santa Claus.
The poinsettia field light display, located at the San Angelo Convention & Visitors Bureau building, 418 W Ave B, is said to be a favorite.
“The poinsettias are displayed on the hillside, which gives them a life-like appearance,” information stated.
