Wayward Kangaroo Briefly Eludes San Angelo Police & Drone

 

SAN ANGELO – San Angelo Police had to corral a wayward kangaroo Thursday night in the city.  According to a social media post from the PD, Virgie was reunited with her family after SAPD officers and Drone Team helped locate her on 08/31/2023. Special thank you to everyone who assisted returning Virgie safe to her owners.

Kangaroos are herbivorous marsupials of the family Macropodidae, of Australia and adjacent islands, having a small head, short forelimbs, powerful hind legs used for leaping, and a long, thick tail: several species are threatened or endangered.
