Texan Wins $4 Million; No Jackpot Winner Yet for Mega Millions

BURNET, TX — No one has managed to pull the winning ticket for the jackpot of the current iteration of the Mega Millions, but a resident of Burnet, Texas, won one of the smaller prizes in the prize pool. A winning ticket was purchased from the Hoover Valley Country Store at 7203 Park Road 4 West, according to Texas Lottery. The winner had a quick pick ticket that matched all the white ball numbers with an added megaplier, increasing the winnings to $4 million.

Texas is still in the hunt for a local grand prize winner in the Mega Millions drawing. No one matched Tuesday’s numbers. The winning numbers on Tuesday were 8, 24, 30, 45, 61, and the gold Mega Ball was 12. With no one turning in a winning ticket, the Jackpot now rolls over to $1.25 billion.

The next drawing will be held on Friday, August 4, at 10 p.m. If someone wins the grand prize in the next drawing, then this Mega Millions Jackpot will go down as the 4th largest in Mega Millions history.
