Los Angeles Skid Row Resident Wins Billion Dollar Powerball

 

LOS ANGELES, CA – After three months, the $1 Billion Powerball ticket has been drawn.

According to powerball.com, on July 19, 2023, a ticket with the numbers 7, 10, 11, 13, and 24 was drawn and purchased from the Las Palmitas Mini Market in Los Angeles' Skid Row district.

The unidentified man who won the lottery, and is now a billionaire, is a resident of the area.

This historic jackpot is now the third largest in Powerball's history. The largest, a staggering $2 Billion, was drawn in November 2022, just 13 miles away from the current winning location.

The next drawing will be held Saturday with the jackpot reset at $20 million.
