HOLLYWOOD— Doomsday is upon us as Christopher Nolan’s movie 'Oppenheimer' releases a new trailer.
“You are the man who gave them the power to destroy themselves, and the world is not prepared.
Nolan’s Oppenheimer is a biopic that follows the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the man who has been dubbed “The Father of the Atomic Bomb”. In this new trailer, we see the team of scientists who gathered together to create the nuclear weapon.
The Oppenheimer synopsis reads:
Written and directed by Christopher Nolan, Oppenheimer is an IMAX-shot epic thriller that thrusts audiences into the pulse-pounding paradox of the enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world in order to save it.
Nolan recently called J. Robert Oppenheimer one of the most important people to have ever lived.
The impressive cast includes:
- Cillian Murphy (Peaky Blinders) as J. Robert Oppenheimer
- Emily Blunt (A Quiet Place) as Katherine Oppenheimer
- Matt Damon (The Bourne Franchise) as Leslie Groves
- Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man) as Lewis Strauss
- Florence Pugh (Black Widow) as Jean Tatlock
Other members of the Oppenheimer cast are Rami Malek (Bohemian Rapsody), Benny Safdie (Good Time), Michael Angarano (The Stanford Prison Experiment), Josh Hartnett (Pearl Harbor), Kenneth Branagh (Tenet), Dane DeHaan (Lawless), Matthew Modine (Netflix’s Stranger Things), Jack Quaid (Amazon’s The Boys), David Dastmalchain (Prisoners), Josh Peck (Drake and Josh), Dylan Arnold, David Krumholtz, Jason Clarke, Alex Wolff, Scott Grimes, Josh Zuckerman, James D'Arcy, Matthias Schweighofer, Christopher Denham, Gustaf Skarsgard, Gary Oldman, Olivia Thirlby, Casey Affleck, and Tom Conti.
Oppenheimer is set to explode into theaters on July 21, 2023.
