SAN ANGELO, TX – The following is a full guide to Cinco de Mayo Celebrations in San Angelo on May 5, 2023.
Penny Bar and Grill - Located at 2412 College Hills Blvd. - On Cinco de May, the Penny Bar and Grill will be having a huge Cinco de Mayo Soft Taco Party. Along with the Tacos, the club will also have a number of drink and shot specials that include Tequila shots and Margaritas. To top it off Assalto will be performing.
Blaine's Pub - Located at 10 W. Harris - Blaine's Pub may be country but they will still be celebrating Cinco de Mayo. However instead of Cumbia music, the 'next big thing' Josh Meloy will take the stage. A bunch of folks in the industry say Josh Meloy Music is it. Think a cross between Ryan Bingham and Koe Wetzel? You can decide.
Angry Cactus - Located at 1 W. Concho - The Angry Cactus will be the place to go for a nice Cinco de Mayo celebration. Tonight they will have specialty Margaritas and of course their West Texas Tacos. These tacos will have your choice of blackened catfish, pork, beef, chicken, or salmon.
Concho Valley PAWS - Located at 3134 N. US Highway 67 - If you're looking to add a member to the family this Cinco de Mayo look no further than the Concho Valley PAWS' Perros Y Gatos event. All day you can adopt a pet over 4 months old for just $5. These animals will be spayed, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adopters must qualify to adopt.
Reyna's Tacos - Located at 334 W. Concho - If you're looking for something to do outside then head down to Reyna's tacos. There a big party featuring vendors, bounce houses,, tacos, artists, and more will fill the street. There will be music by DJ Thomas and it is a BYOB event.
Angelo State University Symphony Orchestra - Located at Southland Baptist Church at 300 Meadow Creek Trail - A more classical way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo could be spent listening to students from Angelo State University and San Angelo ISD playing classical music. This Symphony Orchestra will start their concert 7:30 p.m. and it is free to the public.
