SAN ANGELO, TX — Southern rocker Pony Bradshaw will perform in San Angelo at Blaine's Pub, 10 W. Harris Ave, on Saturday, February 11. Bradshaw is touring in support of his new album, North Georgia Rounder, which was released last month.
North Georgia Rounder – the followup to Bradshaw’s 2021 acclaimed release Calico Jim – is a musical travelogue of Appalachia and an impressionistic journey of introspection and connection. Bradshaw leads the listener on an exploration of the woods, rivers, and mountains of Appalachia – more specifically, the area for which the album is named and he’s called home for the past fifteen years.
The eight tracks preceding the album have garnered praise from No Depression, BrooklynVegan, Saving Country Music, Whiskey Riff, and more.

Bradshaw wanted North Georgia Rounder to sound like his live show. The album thrums with energy as each band member weaves their sound with the others. As the album title (Rounder) suggests, it’s also about life on the road: in taverns, in vans, sleeping on floors, meeting good folks, etc. Bradshaw notes how he longs for a well-ordered life and acknowledges the struggle to reconcile that instinct with spending half of it on the road.
“But stories need to be told,” he says, “and somehow I’ve finagled my way into a position to tell a few.”
