"Afternoon, Dr. Brenner" Stranger Things Drops First 8 Minutes of Season 4

HAWKINS, IN – Stranger Things 4 has dropped the first eight minutes of the next season set to premiere on May 27.

Stranger Things is coming back at the end of this month and is bringing feature length films with it. The last 3 episodes will all run well over an hour long with episode 9 running over 2 hours.

The official synopsis for Stranger Things 4 reads:

It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time- and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.

According to reports, season 4 will be over five hours longer than each of the previous seasons and will consist of 2 volumes set to release on different dates. Volume 1 will consist of the first 7 episodes and will release on May 27. Episode 7 is said to have a run time of 98 minutes, or 1 hour and 38 minutes.

Volume 2 will release on July 1, 2022 and will feature the last two episodes of the season. Even though there will only be two episodes released, episode 8 has a run time 85 minutes, or 1 hour and 25 minutes long, and episode 9 will run 150 minutes, or 2 hours and 30 minutes long.
