SAN ANGELO – The summer time heat has already hit the state of Texas and what better way to cool down than to hit up your local splash pad.
The following gallery has 10 of the top splash pads in the state of Texas.

This 3,000 square foot splash pad has 27 water features for all ages, shade structures and a sitting wall for parents, and a large dumping bucket that everyone will enjoy! Scarborough Splash also has shaded picnic tables, water fountain, and restroom facilities. The splash pad recaptures 90% of water, which is treated and recirculated. The Windhaven Meadows Park is one of the best splashpads in the state of Texas. This in-particular pad has a user-activate button so anyone can enjoy it. It is located at 5400 Windhaven Parkway in Plano, TX. (Contributed: City of Plano)

If you in the metroplex you have to check out the Oak Hills Splash Park. Here the imagination runs wild with a large playground filled with water activities. This park includes a pavilion, grills, restrooms, and tables. Located in Carrollton. (Contributed: City of Carrollton)

Sears Splash is 3,091 square feet and has 18 water features for all ages, according to a release from the city, including two slides and a large dumping bucket. There is also a water journey play area for small children. The location also features shaded benches with picnic tables, a pavilion, a water fountain and nearby restroom facilities. The Quarry Splash Pad is one of the best stops you can make if you are in the Austin area. This massive splash pad has everything you need to cool down and have fun on a hot summer day. Located at 3005 Co. Rd. 175 in Leander. (Contributed: Google)

In the heart of Nolan County is the surprise of your life. This massive splash pad has a number of things to do on it's playground and even comes with a dumper bucket on top that will really leave you soaking wet. Located at 1601 Elm St. in Sweetwater. (Contributed: City of Sweetwater)

McCord Park Splashpad is its own tropical getaway. Along with the water the park features what looks like tropical trees and a ship. Located at 1001 Witt Rd. in Little Elm. (Contributed: City of Little Elm)
