SAN ANGELO – The trailer for Thor: Love & Thunder has finally arrived.
Thor: Love & Thunder’s official synopsis reads:
The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced- a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galatic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods.
To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi), and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who- to Thor’s surprise- inexplicably wields his magical hammer Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor.
Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.
The last time audiences saw Thor he put on a few pounds during the 5-year gap in Avengers: Endgame, fought alongside all the Avengers in the final battle against Thanos (Josh Brolin), made Tessa Thompson’s Vaklyrie King of New Asgard, and set off with Starlord (Chris Pratt) and the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Taiki Waititi, who directed Thor Ragnarök, returns after winning an Oscar for his work on JoJo Rabbit.
Returning as the titular hero Thor is Chris Hemsworth (Avengers: Endgame/Men In Black: International), Tessa Thompson (Men In Black: International, Creed), and Taika Waititi (Free Guy, JoJo Rabbit) as the voice of Korg.
Coming back from Thor: The Dark World is Natalie Portman (Black Swan, Star Wars Prequel Trilogy) as Jane Foster/The Mighty Thor. Also returning after is Jaime Alexander (Blindspot, The Last Stand) as Sif.
Back from Avengers: Endgame is Chris Pratt (The LEGO Movie/ Jurassic World Franchise) as Peter Quill/ Starlord, Karen Gillan (Doctor Who/ Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle) as Nebula, Dave Bautista (DUNE, Blade Runner 2049) as Drax, and Vin Diesel (The Fast and the Furious Franchise) as Groot.
Christian Bale (The Dark Knight Trilogy) is playing the movies big bad, Gorr the God Butcher.
