Social Media: Was the Slap Real or Were They Acting?

LOS ANGELES, CA – The buzz on social media since Sunday night was the drama at the 2022 Oscars when Will Smith Slapped Chris Rock.

Normally following the star studded event, Tweeters tweet about who won what, who was wearing what, and any other drama that occurred in the night. Well this year the drama was at an all-time high.

While handing out a nomination for best documentary, Christ Rock made a joke out Will Smith's Wife Jada. Following the joke, which was regarding the results of Smith's wife begin bald from alopecia, Smith stole the stage from Rock by open-hand slapping the comedian across the face.

Televisions across the nation were cut but that didn't stop people from sharing the uncut version on Twitter. Watch below. Warning extreme language. Viewers discretion advised.

The slap heard across the internet caused Twitter to blow up with tweets embracing the drama. This did however make some question the legitimacy of the slap.

No one will likely know if this was a publicity stunt or a man sticking up for his wife. Either way it's a fun debate. What do you think? Was the slap real or fake? Comment what you think below!
