San Angelo Comic Con is This Weekend

SAN ANGELO, TX- Nerds rejoice! The San Angelo Comic Con is coming back to Foster Communication Coliseum this weekend!

Head out to Foster Communication Coliseum, located at 50 East 43rd Street in San Angelo, Texas for video game tournaments, cosplay competitions, special guest stars, board and card games and much more as Comic Con makes it's way back to San Angelo.

Vendors selling comics, collectables, and some cool memorabilia will be set up all weekend for you to browse.

Starting Friday, February 18th, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. if you have VIP access, and close at 8:00 p.m. A Tekken 7 tournament and Fitghterz tournament will be played on Friday as well as the opening ceremony, sewing 101, the House of Waifu, and a dance party will take place as well.

On Saturday, doors open at 9:30 a.m. for VIP access and at 10:00 a.m. for general admission. Saturday will feature guest Q&As including John Gremillion, Albie Robles, and Brittany Karbowski  and will also feature a Super Smash Bros. Tournament as well as cosplay prop and armor making.

Tabletop gaming and trading card games will be available as well. The vendors close at 7:00 p.m. but the Cosplay Contest will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. So come dressed as a member of the 501st,  your favorite Spider-Man, or a comic book or video game character and enter the contest.

The last day of Comic Con is Sunday when the doors open at 10:30 a.m. for VIPs and 11:00 a.m. for general admission.

Special guest Christina Kelly will take questions on Sunday. Other events include a Mario Kart tournament, streaming intro, podcasting 101, and a fashion show.

Vendors close at 5:00 p.m. but the closing ceremonies will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
