The Ever Popular Corn Maze in Wall Opens Soon

SAN ANGELO, TX – The start of fall is less than a month away and with that brings back the popular corn maze in Wall.

Lindsey Schaertl, part owner of the Circle S Acres, confirmed that their corn maze will reopen beginning Oct. 1.

Every year the corn maze has a different design and theme. Since 2016, Lindsey and her husband Chad Schaertl have created a number of designs including one that honored members of the military, one that showed love to their alma mater Angelo State University, and most recently one that gave recognition to first responders.

This year the maze will show appreciation to teachers for their resilience through the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Educators have had a tough time with dealing with COVID-19 and things like online learning," said Lindsey Schaertl. "We want them to know that we support them and appreciate them."

Their most popular weekends are the last two in Oct. during what they call the "Haunted Corn Maze" featuring the cast of the San Angelo Broadway Academy. This year they will be selling tickets exclusively online. For the link to purchase tickets scroll to the bottom of the article.

Another new attraction that Circle S Acres is bringing this year is their "You Pick" flower garden. It will consist of a half to three quarters of an acre of sunflowers and zinnias. Guests will be allowed to take picture of, or with, the flowers during regular hours. On weekends however people will have the chance to purchase a vase and pick their own personal bouquet. The flowers will be on a first come, first serve, basis but Schaertl believes that the zinniass will continue to re-bloom until the first heavy freeze.

Other attractions will include a barrel train, a pumpkin patch with over 35 types of gords, a corn cannon, and a pumpkin catapult. Circle S Acres is also providing concessions at the "Granary Grub." On weekends they will serve hot food, like burgers and hot dogs, but will only serve concession items during the week.

To enter the property it cost only one dollar unless you purchase a ticket for the maze. If you want to enter the corn maze the price is eight dollars for ages 13 and up, five dollars for ages three to twelve, and two and under are free. For tickets to the "Haunted Corn Maze" click here.
