Did You Know George Strait is Related to One of the Richest People in the World?

COTULLA, TX – Did you know that Country Music legend George Strait and one of the world's richest businessman Jeff Bezos are cousins? 

That's right! According to an article written by the Dallas News in 1999 Bezos and Straight are actually distant cousins through Bezos grandmother Mattie Louise Gise (née Strait).

It is unclear if the two have ever met but Bezos grew up in South Texas on his grandfather's cattle ranch. King George also was raised in South Texas in a town near Cotulla called Pearsall.

George Strait is 12 years older than Bezos.
