Abilene Zoo to Host Wild Days Event

 

ABILENE, TX – The Abilene Zoo has announced it will be hosting interactive shows and special experiences during the Wild Days event.

The event held from March 6-14, is presented by the Excelsior Foundation.

Wild Days will be held alongside Nelson Lake and visitors will have the opportunity to meet a variety of creatures, such as:

  • Yogi the Two-toed Sloth
  • Bruce the Warthog
  • Scarlett the African Crested Porcupine
  • Bayou the American Alligator

The zoo will also host Wild Encounters, a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity" to meet more amazing animals like Macho the Rhino, Edward the Giraffe, and Mario the Capybara.

Admission is $3 for children ages 3-12, $10 for adults, and $9 for seniors.
