Six More Weeks of Winter Says the Groundhog

PUNXSUTAWNEY, P.A. – The groundhog has seen his shadow and predicted six more weeks of winter on this Groundhog Day. 

"It’s a beautiful morning, this I can see, with all my fans viewing virtually. My faithful followers being safe and secure, our tradition of Groundhog Day must endure. We have all passed through the darkness of night, but now see hope in morning’s bright light. But now when I turn to see, there is a perfect shadow cast me of me. Six more weeks of winter there will be!" According to handlers who read for Punxsutawney Phil during the annual ceremony this morning. 

Groundhog Day 2021 was quite different; there was no crowd this year because of Covid-19.
