SAN ANGELO, TX -- After deciding to cancel Christmas at Old Fort Concho, the historic landmark has announced it will go ahead with it's annual “Murder at Fort Concho” event.
Beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24 San Angeloans can visit the Fort to begin the tour. The tour will begin in Barracks 1 and attendees will receive an orientation. The armed with maps and directions, visitors will visit with fort staff and volunteers dressed in period clothing.
Visitors will speak with staff and volunteers to learn clues about the “murder." Guests will review the information and select the guilty suspect.
"To better meet current COVID-19 health and safety guidelines, tickets will be sold for specific time slots, with the first available start time at 7 p.m. and others occurring every 15 minutes until 9 p.m. The fort will not accept guests after 9 p.m.," said the fort in a statement.
Tickets for the program will be $10 for the general public and $8 for fort members. Tickets can be purchased in the Visitor Center at Barracks 1 located at 630 South Oakes St. or by calling (325) 481-2646.
Masks and social distancing will be required on the grounds and within any building. Capacity for time slots will be limited so tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
