American Idol Auditions Go Virtual

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Even a pandemic won’t stop the search for the next American Idol and in order to stay socially distant this year’s auditions will be virtual.

“American Idol  will continue to break new innovative boundaries with custom-built Zoom technology to host “Idol Across America,” its first-ever live virtual nationwide search for the next superstar.”

According to American Idol Zoom auditions will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020.

In order to participate singers must register online and submit an audition video. Those wishing to audition must be at least 15-years-old and no older than 28-years-old.

Participants must perform alone in audition videos; friends, bands, and back-up singers are not allowed.

Participants are asked to not wear any clothing or bring any items that have designer names, corporate or sports team names or logos, copyrighted images, celebrity names or images (living or dead), cartoon character images or inappropriate messages or words (for example, profanity). 

If participants have any tattoos that contain any corporate or sports names or logos, copyrighted images, celebrity names or images (living or dead), cartoon character images, or inappropriate messages or words (for example, profanity), please cover the tattoo for the audition.

Participants that are selected will be contacted by November 1, 2020.
