McKean Wants to Bring New Sound to Local Music Scene

SAN ANGELO, TX – It’s been a busy year for hip hop in 2020. The same can be said about entrepreneur, Recording label executive, and hip-hop songwriter Reed McKean.

Earlier this year he has managed to put together a Record label called (Really Rixh) Really Rich Entertainment, LLC, that he operates with two other hometown artist Cartier Coldhearted and Dru star.

The stigma of the hip hop culture is loosened in San Angelo as many have seen McKean perform at local events like The “West Texas Tattoo convention” that was held at Foster Communications Coliseum, La Kumbia for local DJ’s birthday party, and then The Concho Pearl Ice House with other local artist, Nick Loe, who hosted an album release show “Back to Basics”.

Reed McKean has covered a lot of ground for someone who only started taking music seriously in January. When listening to his latest EP Album “Life That I Live” he talks about a time in his life that had a lot to do with urban street politics, eventful pastimes, and reflective self-moral.

His “straight forward, in your face” attitude and delivery on instrumentals brings hip hop lovers to his music. He is working under management with Josh Stevens who is owner of local music label called (T.T.G.) Taught to Grind Records, LLC. We asked Reed McKean what do you plan on doing to further your music career and influence others in San Angelo in times like now.

“Being consistent and relevant with my visuals and putting out music that tell my truth about what I been through and who I am today” said, which will be shown in the progression of his career and projects that you can keep up with on the Artist’s social medias @ReedMckean or on YouTube when typing in his name.

Mckean has all his music on digital platforms like Spotify and Apple music as well. For more information or to schedule an interview contact Management at (386)-275-3732 or email: [email protected]
