Get Nutty Today for Squirrel Appreciation Day

SAN ANGELO, TX – Today is National Squirrel Appreciation Day.

According to the National Day Calender, on January 21st, Squirrel Appreciation Day recognizes a critter some consider a pest and others see as just fascinating.

Here in San Angelo there are tons of squirrels but what better squirrel is there than Twiggy the Water Skiing Squirrel. Check out this video of when Twiggy came into town for the Hunter Expo.

To celebrate the holiday, go out to any park and see the many squirrels. Around the Angelo State Campus is a very hot spot for these critters to live.
