SAN ANGELO, TX – The last week of October is packed with events and things to do here in San Angelo. From early voting, to trick-or-treating, to pet adoptions there is an event for everyone.
Early Voting
The November 5th Special Election is right around the corner, but it’s not too late to vote early. Early voting will be going on until Saturday, November 1st.
Early Voting can be done at the Edd B. and Francis Frink Keyes Building, across from the courthouse. Voters can visit the office during these times:
- Oct. 28-30, 2019 - 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Oct. 31-Nov. 1, 2019 - 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
The special election will be held on Tuesday, November 5th from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. For a complete list of polling places click on the following link.
City Auction
On October 29th the City Auction ends, so make sure to check it out before its too late. Available items can be found on the Rene Bates Auctioneers website. Anyone interested in placing a bid must be registered with Rene Bates.
Trunk-or-Treat
On October 31st the San Angelo Fire Department and the San Angelo Firefighters Association will be hosting a Trunk or Treat to celebrate Halloween
Families are invited to visit the SAFD from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. to receive free candy and explore a firetruck up close. All eight fire stations will be open for trick-or-treaters.
Visitors are reminded to please not park in front of the firetrucks or ambulances at the stations, as firefighters and paramedics must still respond to calls.

Pet Adoption & San Angelo Symphony
On November 2nd Concho Valley Paws will be hosting an adoption event at the San Angelo Animal Center. The adoption fee is $85 for dogs and $50 for cats. Fee includes spay or neuter, vaccinations, microchip, engraved tag, collar, and leash. Some of the pets showcased are pets in foster homes and others are residents of the San Angelo Animal Shelter. The event will be going on from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Later that evening head over to the West Mezzanine of City Hall to listen to the San Angelo Symphony Orchestra perform with talented local pianists Michael Schneider and Steve Keniston. The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m.
