SAN ANGELO, TX – As EnPleinAirTEXAS approaches its last few days, Awards Judge Donald Demers is hosting a free talk at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts Meeting Room today. At the talk, Demers will showcase past EnPleinAirTEXAS paintings owned by local collectors.
Demers is considered to be one of the finest marine and landscape painters in America and will provide a fascinating look ‘behind the paint and the brush-strokes’ and discover why certain paintings captivate audiences immediately. Demers is known for his ability to communicate his feelings about a piece of work and knows how to educate those new to the art world as well as seasoned collectors. The event is scheduled from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Following that, artists' demonstrations will be available at the “WATCH & ASK ME While I Paint” event from 1:00 – 3:30 p.m. Artists will be near the river behind the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts. The public is encouraged to visit with painters, watch them paint and ask questions.
Artists showcased will be Christine Lashley, Richie Vios, Spencer Meagher, Yong Hong Zhong, Bill Farnsworth, Carla Bosch, Mark Akins, Peggy Immel, and Krystal Brown.
