The American Kennel Club, (AKC,) was established in 1884, while the Concho Kennel Club was established in 1964, 80 years later, and incorporated on June 6, 1974. The Concho Kennel Club educates the community through multiple programs such as the Canine Good Citizen Award Program, AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy, AKC Therapy Dog Program, and more. Their focus is to give residents an opportunity to join people with similar interests while learning about dog ownership.
The AKC dog show hosted by the Concho Kennel Club is not only a great couple of days to enjoy all things dog, but an excellent opportunity to entertain children while educating them on responsible and enthusiastic pet ownership.
