IT! Is in San Angelo!

SAN ANGELO, TX — Rush hour traffic slowed to a stop at the Red Arroyo low water draw on Sunset Blvd. this Halloween evening.

The bizarre sight of a boy standing stock still, wearing a yellow raincoat and holding a large red balloon grabbed the attention of motorists, including a patrol car from the San Angelo Police Department.

Chris debuted his character on Central’s freshman campus today, and although he was relieved of his balloon by a school official, he was the center of attention and fun among the students.

Chris’ Dad said they “never expected it to take off the way it did. He’s not scaring kids, or wearing an ugly mask. But the adults are the ones enjoying it.”

Motorists stopped to take pictures and selfies with Chris. At one point, a San Angelo police patrol car also stopped just to be sure that the strange sight wasn’t cause for alarm.

Chris and his Dad, who stayed close by his son, planned to stay out until dark.
