SAN ANGELO, TX-- Remember the filming that was announced over the weekend? Well now's your chance to get in the movie.
An open casting call for the movie Sub Rosa was announced with a date, time, and roles to be played.
On Saturday, Oct. 7, there will be open auditions for three character's in the movie.
Writer/Director/Producer Charlie Landers told San Angelo LIVE! the film will audition actors for these roles at these times:
9AM
[Peña] – MALE. 35-55. Hispanic. Noble and steady sub-commander of Mexican anticorruption tactical unit, who could possibly be mistaken as corrupt. American English and some Mexican Spanish.
10:30AM
[Lauren] – FEMALE. 18-26. All ethnicities. American medical missionary whose commitment to both pacifism and her faith is tested, but remains strong. American English.
- AND –
[Carey] – FEMALE. 18-26. All ethnicities. Endearing, optimistic, and sweet - a medical student who no one could dislike. American English.
1:30PM
[Michael] – MALE, 18-25. All ethnicities. Slightly-nerdy American medical student who’s ready to be the second-coming of James Bond and Jason Bourne’s baby at any moment. He’s mostly cool with being an outcast. American English and limited second-language Spanish lines.
3:30PM
[Juan] – MALE. 20-35. Hispanic. Mexican who has always done whatever it takes to survive, but increasingly struggles with a pesky sense of virtue. He can be charming and flirtatious, or unflinchingly resolute. American English and limited, fluent Mexican Spanish.
6:00PM
[Austin] –MALE. 24-35. All ethnicities. Recent medical-grad and medical mission leader. Though a light-hearted manager/mentor, he’s poised and ready to employ his raised-Texan recreational weapons skills when justified. American English.
7:30PM
[Brian] – MALE. 18-28. All ethnicities. Level-headed medical missionary who may be out of his element amongst the violence and lack of civility. He is well-adjusted enough to adapt, if not fully overcome his circumstances. American English.
The auditions will take place at 2833 College Hills Boulevard in San Angelo. No application is needed to audition.
