Tonight, the Love Municipal Pool at 18 E. Avenue A will host another "Flick N' Float," which is the last one for this swim season.
Sandra Serna, recreation coordinator, said "The movie for tonight is 'Space Jam,' and will start when the sun goes down, around 9 p.m.. When the movie does start, the deeper end of the pool will be closed and patrons are to stay in the shallow end. We normally close at 6 p.m., but today we're gonna be open all day and night until the movie is over around 10:45 p.m.. If people are there already for the day, and they want to leave and come back, they just need to get a stamp and keep their receipt."
Admission is $5 for ages 3 to 64. Seniors 65 and older pay $3, and children 2 and younger are admitted free. Accepted forms of payment are cash, checks, Visa and Mastercard.
Serna added, "Children younger than 13 should be accompanied by an adult. The food concession stand will be open all day and night, so no outside food or drinks will be permitted."
Rules:
Swim diapers are a must. Babies and toddlers without swim diapers will not be allowed in the pool.
Showering before swimming is required.
Cutoffs or denim will not be allowed.
Outside food and drink will not be allowed, except baby bottles and baby food.
No running, diving, or horseplay.
No seeds.
Glass containers are not allowed.
To ride the slides, swimmers must be at least 48 inches tall and have no jewelry, metal, zippers or anything else that could damage the slide. In addition, life vests or children under the height requirement will not be allowed on the slides.
The rules are meant to ensure swimmers' safety. Violators will be asked to leave the facility.
