A press release from the United Way of the Concho Valley announced this week that it will kick off its 2016 Annual Campaign in conjunction with the Beach Boys Concert.
The concert is scheduled for Wednesday, August 24, at Foster Communications Coliseum, 50 E. 43rd St.
The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. United Way staff and volunteers will be located in an area near the entrance of the coliseum from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Give away items will include special United Way glow in the dark bracelets and Hawaiian leis.
“This is an ideal way to kick off our campaign," said Sidney Walker, 2016 United Way Campaign Chair. “The United Way has a very long history of success in its efforts to assist people. The Beach Boys’ success in the music industry over the years has been unparalleled. We are hoping that the ‘good vibrations’ created by the band will inspire the residents of the Concho Valley to support their community through donations to the United Way.”
The United Way of the Concho Valley will fund 19 local agency programs this year. For ticket information, call 325-653-9577.
